    What troops should i be building?

    I'm building light cavalry at the moment. My question is should i just keep builing ONLY those or do i want a mix of troops? I have a few spearmen, and even less axeman. Also have a couple of scouts. I'm totally new as i've said before but it seems spearmen are recommended but they seem to suck lol.

    depends on what kind of village u want. But having a mix of Offense and defense works nicely most of the time. I prefer having one FULL DEFENSE for every two OFFENSE.
    Spears, Swords, HC - DEFENSE
    Axe, LC - Offense.
    and we dont have archers.. which is good!

    Ok thank you for your reply, looking at the stats on light horseman it says that they have a much higher defense than swords/spears. So would it not be better to mostly have lots of light cavalry in a defense?

    Or is this offest by the cost of each cavalry unit?

    it does have higher stats, but other units have also high cavalry offence stats Smile

    i dunno but it always turns out that they get slaughtered. in W18 anyway Smile

    I ALWAYS use Axe and LC as OFFENSE. and if they are paired with Spears, Swords and HC the defense is brilliant..

    basically.. u want.. more Sword, spears, Hc in a defense village

    and more LC and axe in a support village.. making only one type of unit is no good. u need them in pairs.

    the reason you shouldn't have a defense village of pure HC is because it takes up 6 troops for every 1 HC. its also faster to build a defense village with sword spear hc combo because troops and cavalry can be built at the same time. best to have sword spear combo i think personally.

    never use offense troops for defense. if your running low you can send LC to support because it gets there quick.

    Ok yeah that makes sense. So you would make a village defensive without any heavy cavalry?

    you a normally defensive vilage for me would be 10k sp 10sw something like that. i only make HC is some villages because it's quick to move around.
